KitLife Celebrates Grand Opening in Winter Garden

If you LOVE planners – as in the people and the notebooks – the ladies at KitLife will speak your language to a T.

I know they understand me: organization, planning, and writing things down in a pretty notebook!

The “KIT” in KitLife stands for something we all strive for: Keeping It Together.

KitLife in the Garden

KitLife celebrated their grand opening Saturday, Aug. 25. Located at 100 S. Boyd St. in downtown Winter Garden, the KitLife shop is home to planners, papery, and positivity.

The store was pretty much filled to capacity when I arrived (I could barely walk in!). It was exciting to see so many people in the community supporting the grand opening.

On a side note, I’d also like to thank Winter Garden for its amazing free street parking, and free, public parking garage! I’ve grown to expect to pay for parking everywhere I go, so it was a relief not to worry about another expense like that.

The KitLife shop is located right outside the parking garage, and just around the corner from Plant Street. I recommend visiting on a Saturday so you can check out the Winter Garden Farmers Market while you’re there!

Putting Customers First

I first heard about KitLife through an episode of the Orlando Lady Boss podcast.

Jessica, Liz and Jenny started their business out of a common need for planners. They started out creating personalized planners for themselves. After receiving requests, they printed 50 planners to see if they could sell the planners.

Sure enough, people loved the planners! KitLife is now going five years strong. Their products are made and assembled right here in Florida.

As a small business, the ladies of KitLife love interacting with the community. They speak with customers and listen to feedback to continue creating quality products.

As someone who loves to plan and check things off lists, I keep most of my organization separated by topic, so I can sit down and think in a different mindset each time.

I keep a planner dedicated to work projects, a content calendar for blog posts, and then I track my fitness workouts in a little notebook that reads, “wake up and be awesome.”

I also use a website called Asana to track project deadlines. Sounds like a lot, right? I am a planner and notebook addict!

The ladies were really sweet and accommodating when I visited the store. I mostly spoke with Jessica, who helped me figure out what kind of planner would be best for next year. KitLife creates weekly planners, daily planners, notebooks, fun stationery, and more.

I’m already in love with Office Depot and Target for office supplies, so this might just be my new favorite stationery shop!

(Yes, I realize how nerdy that sounds!)

I’d love to hear your own stories about the topic. How do you organize your priorities, and do you incorporate a planner in your life?

We all try to keep track of our activities and lives in some way. How do you keep it together?

    1. Nikki, it’s so cute and quaint! The ladies of KitLife are really helpful too. I’m sure you and your mother-in-law will love the shop! 🙂

  1. I love downtown Winter Garden and I LOVE places like this, I remember back in the days I would live for small hallmark stores and/or stationery stores, which are not as common these days. I will be sure to check this place out.

    1. Melissa – YES! I remember going to Hallmark for quality cards and…Beanie Babies. 😀 Thanks for sharing. You will love the shop too!

  2. Sounds like my favorite place to be! I love OfficeMax and Target! I am already shopping for my 2019 planner. I feel like I am already late. I can’t wait to stop by KIT and check it out. I’m obsessed with organization, but I always feel all over the place. The irony.

I love the new logo by the way!!!

    1. Andrell! That’s so great to hear! I think we can all get lost in Target…we walk in for one item, and then walk out with a bunch of notebooks, pens, and random grocery items!

It’s OK – we still have 3 months before we’re “late” for planner shopping. 😀 It’s nice to hear you love organization. I’d love to hear what you think if you stop by KIT!

Thank you for checking out the new logo too! 🙂 I appreciated your encouragement. I’ve wanted to update the logo for a looong time, so I’m glad it’s up now!
